It started out with having to get up early to get Hayden to his. Registration happened to fall on the same day as my Christian Living Bible Class so we had to work it out. Hayden's times were from 8 a.m. until noon to register. Since we have to leave for my class at 9:30, Hayden and I thought we would get there early and have plenty of time! Well, I think the rest of the 6th grade parents had the same idea!
I was so surprised at how many people were there. It ended up taking us almost an hour!
Here is Hayden ready to go! He was pretty excited about it, I am sure. He won't let it show too much because he is a tough and cool 6th grade guy!
We had a good time and I am excited to see how he does in the Middle School environment. He is such a smart boy and he is starting cello this year!
I took this picture from the floor that Hailey's locker is on. In the far distance the entry is on the left and if you go straight ahead you can get to the auditorium! I think I am experiencing vertigo!
Did I mention to you that when we were registering Hailey I was approached by a girl and asked if I would like to join the dance team? Yes, I wanted to give her the biggest hug and then give her a coupon for a free eye exam! Poor kid had to have needed glasses or else they have some pretty rough looking seniors this year!
The front of "the mall"!
This last shot I just couldn't help. I am always amazed by what you end up bringing home from these sorts of events! All last year and continually in the school system you are always hearing about paper shortages, Reuse, Recycle . . . We didn't even take every paper that was offered or available to us but this is what we ended up with after both registrations! (Tree huggers, look away)!
Well, we did it! We survived 6th grade and 9th grade registration! This is going to be a crazy year with 3 kids in 3 different schools with 3 different schedules. But, I am excited for them because they are all excited! Tyler was pre-registered from last year. All we need to find out now is who his teacher is! I sure hope he gets a calm, patient teacher who LOVES to hear long, intricate stories!
BRING ON THE HOMEWORK!
