The Chair !

Since last year Hailey has been trying to remodel her bedroom into the "perfect" tropical paradise! She received a bedspread last year for her birthday to start it all off but then things came to a halt when we thought we were going to move. But, just recently we have put things back in gear and have been working on her room.

We have successfully painted her room and rearranged it. She has purchased some new beach/tropical island type items and she finally got one of the things she has been patiently waiting for . . . A Papasan Chair!

She wanted to create a reading corner in her room where she could sit and relax, do her homework, you know, her own special space.


I think I will rename this chair. . . The "If You Think Anything Is Going To Get Accomplished By Your Child When Your Child Owns A Chair Like This You've Lost Your Mind" chair!

She just went to "rest" in it and I took this picture after the dog woke her up after nearly THREE HOURS of SLEEPING!
In her defense though - it is amazingly comfortable!

I plan on putting together a sequence of pictures from start to finish of her room when we are all finished so you can see the fun we had with this project!

There is also an understanding in our house that if Kurt comes up missing - we'll check the chair first!
